(glide-waxed skis) + (icy conditions) + (2 dogs ready to run) = (too many falls to count) + (lessons learned)
Well I had no idea it would be so icy at Larose today. Not *icy* icy, just icyish snow that made it really difficult to stop, corner, or even stay upright just when standing in place. Lesson learned, a bit of kick wax has its place especially when there's a chance of slick conditions. Haven't used kick wax at all this year since mostly I just pole and it hasn't been a problem until this challenging outing. My skijoring companion on the other hand had a blast since the conditions made it easier for her dog to pull and even with her properly waxed skis she was gliding along just great.

Ah yes kick wax, has its uses in skijoring.
I'll find the link to the online Swix waxing video and post it on my blog.
